Right Angle Gear Box
The Crown Heavy Duty Right Angle Gearbox on the CWC WTD 350 service rig is designed for a double drum drawworks drive arrangement.
The right angle gear train is a spiral bevel gear set with hardened steel gears. The gearbox case is fabricated from high strength heavy steel tubing to minimize distortion. Gears and bearings are lubricated by oil bath arrangement. All shafts are machined from high strength heat-treated steel. Input shaft bearings are double Timken with straight roller bearings at the pinion end. The output shaft is supported on spherical bearings. The gear ratio is 1.04:1
Model CE350DD Drawworks
The WTD-00350 rig features a Crown CE350DD, Double Drum Conventional Style Drawworks with band brakes. The drums are dynamically balanced and the brake rims are finish-ground to round after installation. The Drawworks Main Drum is supplied with 7/8" (22mm) Lebus grooving for wireline spooling.
Hoist bearings and brake mechanisms are lubricated with a centralized Alemite system. Chain lubrication is accomplished with an oil bath system located in fully enclosed chain guards.
The brake flanges are removable. Each flange is heat-treated and has been subjected to a Brinell hardness test to ensure long life.
The brake bands wrap 330-degrees around the drum, are adjustable, and are actuated by a linkage which increases the driller's mechanical advantage as the brake handle moves through its operating arc.
All drum shafts are made from high strength, heat-treated and stress relieved, chrome-moly manganese steel.
Drum shaft bearings are double row, self-aligning roller bearings.

Mast
The WTD-00350 Workover Rig is equipped with a 72' (22m) x 140,000Ib (63,500kg) freestanding stiff mast with a fixed base. It is constructed with hollow structural steel framing, and is designed and built in accordance with American Petroleum Institute (API) Standard 4F.
Alignment with the well center is achieved through adjusting the mast till angle by tightening or loosening the screw jacks provided between the mast and mast base.
The mast is equipped with a ladder mounted on the off-driller's side which provides access to the racking board and rod basket. The crown platform and handrails are included with the crown frame assembly and provides safety when servicing crown sheaves. The mast is also equipped with a block cradle and 3/4" (19mm) load lines with turnbuckles. A 3-stage, chrome plated hydraulic cylinder is used for raising the mast.
The crown platform provides safety when servicing crown sheaves. The crown block assembly comes with:
|
Two (2), 24" (61cm) fleet sheaves |
One (1), 24" (61cm) deadline sheave |
|
One (1), 24" (61cm) fastline sheave |
