Carrier Style Pump Truck

Pump Truck Carrier

The carrier is a Stewart & Stevenson Canada Inc. self-propelled carrier, manufactured with wide flange main beams and an all welded frame. Heavy-duty front and rear bumpers equipped with heavy-duty tows are welded to the carrier frame.

The highway lighting package comes with turn signal lights, clearance lights, headlights, brake lights, a back-up alarm, and reflectors. The lights are fully wired to the controls and switches located inside the driver's cab. All wires are routed through cable hangers located in the carrier frame and are shielded to protect them from damage.

Driver's Cab

The cab is equipped with a steering column and steering wheel. acceleration and brake pedals, turning signal switch. adjustable bucket seat with safety bell. dome light, windows (including a roll up window in the door and a sliding side window on the off driller's side), and a front 12V electric wiper. Also included are a high-output heater, a fire extinguisher. a first aid kit, and safety flares.

The installed control panel consists of the following:

Gauges:

Speedometer, Tachometer, Transmission Oil Pressure, Transmission Oil, Temperature, Fuel, Air Pressure, Engine Oil Pressure, Engine Water Temperature, and Volt.

Controls:

Head light, Dome Light, Fan, Wipers. Washer, Low Air, Air Horn, Engine (Start/On/Stop), Shutdown Override, Diagnostic Request, Emergency shutdown, Differential Lockup, Park Brake, and Gear Selector (Transmission).

Indicator Lights:

High Beam, Check Transmission, ABS, Check Engine, Shutdown Engine, and Low Coolant.

Running Gear

The running gear suspension is a combination of Reyco Spring Suspension and Hendrickson walking beam suspension. All driveline shafts are Spicer series 1710.

The front steer axles are Meritor Easy Steer with "Q Plus" braking, rated at 22,800 Ib per axle.

The front axles are equipped with four 445/65R22 tires.

The rear drive axles are Meritor single-reduction tandem drive axles with "Heavy Duty Q Plus" braking rated at 50,000 Ib per tandem axle. The rear axles are equipped with eight 12R22.5 tires.

All axles are equipped with an anti-lock braking system (ABS). ABS optimizes the braking performance under demanding conditions or emergency braking and provides maximum control on hazardous, slippery surfaces. The rear axles have driver-controlled differential lock (DCOL).

Fuel Tank

The pump truck is furnished with a single, 100 gal. cylindrical fuel tank.

Engine

The pump truck utilizes a Detroit Diesel Series 60 diesel engine as its power unit. This engine has a displacement of 14.0 Liters and an intermittent rating of 425 BHP at 2,100 RPM. This fully integrated heavy-duty diesel engine yields excellent fuel consumption, durability and low emissions.

Options included with the engine assembly include: a steel engine hood, (covering radiator, engine and transmission) including four (4) steel side covers, a circulating block heater, as well as an air fan clutch assembly.

Transmission

An Allison model 4700 OFS, complete with drop-box and disconnect to the rear drive axles, is coupled to the engine. The five forward ranges and one reverse make this transmission best suited for off-highway applications.

PTO

A Chelsea 859 Series Power Take-off is transmission mounted and pneumatically controlled.

Triplex Pump

The unit is fitted with an SJ 300 triplex pump. This includes a charge/wash down pump.

Charge Pump

The charge pump is a Mission 3" x 4" Type W hydraulically driven centrifugal pump.

Winch

The unit is equipped with one (1) DP 30 hydraulic winch. This winch is complete with winch line, hook assembly, and remote control in the driver's cab.

Manifold

The unit is equipped with a seven-valve 5000 psi discharge manifold.

Hydraulic System

The hydraulic system includes the following components:

• One (1) Power Take Off
• One (1) Two stage hydraulic pump assembly to operate the lube pump, winch, and centrifugal pump
• One (1) 227 liter (60 gallon) hydraulic lank

Air System

The air system for typical unit operation consists of the following:

• An engine mounted air compressor
• An air receiver system
• Complete pneumatic plumbing (valves, drains and gauges)

The air system also includes a single air dryer and alcohol injector as options.

Electrical System

The electrical system is 110V and complete with two (2) fluorescent lights, a distribution box, and 200 ft of five wire cord. Plugs are installed on both ends of the cord. (Not hardwired.)

Miscellaneous Equipment

• One (1) storage basket for Chicksans is located between the frame rails.
• 200 ft. of ground cable (1/8 in. aircraft cable) complete with reel is included.
• One (1) mesh belly box, complete with hinged front door is included.
• One (1) tool box, complete with two (2) hinged doors Is included.
